  • Reading a phase diagram is reading coordinates on a plane subdivided into labeled regions by curves — ‘50 kPa and −10 °C falls in the ice region’ is the same skill as locating an ordered pair relative to graphed boundary curves, just with pressure and temperature standing in for y and x.
